Jemenitisch Erfgoed in Europa: Bewaring of Aanpassing?

Een serieuze discussie over de identiteit van tweede generatie Jemenieten in het buitenland

The second generation of Yemenis in the Netherlands faces a fundamental question: How can I be Yemeni in a Dutch society? Do I preserve everything as it is? Or do I adapt and lose a part of my identity?

Identity Is Not Binary

Identity is not an either/or proposition — and the mistake many fall into is thinking so. You can celebrate Eid and King's Day. You can speak Arabic at home and Dutch at work. You can honor your heritage while embracing your future.

Our Role

At Albait Alyemeni, we create spaces where young people can explore both sides of their identity through cultural events, dialogue sessions, and mentoring from community elders who have walked this path before them.
