The Yemeni House: A Bridge Between Roots and Horizon

How we built a strong Yemeni community in the heart of the Netherlands

Since its founding, Stichting Albait Alyemeni was built on a simple yet powerful idea: that you can be a citizen of two homelands at the same time. To carry Yemen in your heart while building your life in the Netherlands is not a contradiction — it is a dual richness.

The difficult beginning — "The first thing I did when I arrived was look for a Yemeni community," says one of our founders. "I didn't find one, so we created one." From that determination, Albait Alyemeni was born.

What Makes Us Different

We are not just a cultural club. We are a living community that breathes, grows, and supports its members in every aspect of life — from education and employment to social services and cultural celebration.

Today, we serve over 500 community members with 14+ annual events, 4 core programs, and a growing network of volunteers dedicated to making a difference.
