Hamad Al-Qahoum arrived in the Netherlands in 2018 without knowing a single Dutch word. Today, he studies Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft and teaches children mathematics at our school every weekend.
The Difficult Beginning
"The first thing I did when I arrived was look for a community," Hamad recalls. "Finding Albait Alyemeni changed everything. They helped me with language courses, university applications, and most importantly — they gave me a sense of belonging."
Giving Back
Now Hamad volunteers as a math tutor at Al-Yemeni School, inspiring the next generation. "If I can do it, any young Yemeni can. The key is community support and never giving up."
